How do I get my API key?
Log in to your Ads Pulse dashboard, navigate to Settings, and copy your API key. Then paste it into the Chrome extension popup when prompted.
The extension shows 'Connection failed' error
This usually means the content script couldn't communicate with the page. Try refreshing the Meta Ads Manager page (F5). If the issue persists, go to chrome://extensions, find Ads Pulse, and click the refresh icon to reload the extension.
I don't see submission counts in my table
Make sure you've completed all 3 setup steps: (1) API key is saved and validated, (2) table type is selected, and (3) column mapping is saved. Also verify that the tracking script is installed on your website and form submissions are being captured.
How do I set up URL parameters in Meta Ads?
In Meta Ads Manager, edit your ad and scroll to the "Tracking" section. In the "URL Parameters" field, paste: utm_campaign={{campaign.id}}&utm_adset={{adset.id}}&utm_ad={{ad.id}}
The extension doesn't detect my table type
Auto-detection works by reading the URL. Make sure you're on a Campaigns, Ad Sets, or Ads page in Meta Ads Manager. You can also manually select the table type from the extension popup.
My submission counts seem incorrect
Submission data is matched using the campaign/ad set/ad IDs from your URL parameters. Double-check that your tracking script is correctly installed and that the UTM parameters are properly configured on all your ads.
How do I exclude a form from tracking?
Add the data-ads-pulse-ignore attribute to any form you want to exclude: <form data-ads-pulse-ignore>...</form>
Can I use Ads Pulse with multiple ad accounts?
Yes. The extension works across all Meta Ads Manager accounts you have access to. The tracking is based on campaign/ad IDs which are unique across accounts.
Troubleshooting
Extension icon shows '!' badge
Your API key is not configured. Click the extension icon and enter your API key.
Extension icon shows '...' badge
API key is set but column mapping is not configured. Open the popup, fetch columns, and save the mapping.
Columns can't be fetched
Make sure you're on a Meta Ads Manager table page (Campaigns, Ad Sets, or Ads). Refresh the page and try again.
Data shows 0 for all campaigns
Verify the tracking script is installed on your site and that forms are submitting data. Check the dashboard to confirm submissions are being received.
Extension resets after page navigation
This is a known Meta SPA behavior. The extension re-injects automatically. If issues persist, reload the extension from chrome://extensions.
